Lord, my soul is in turmoil and I am deeply distressed. Fear greets me every morning. It lies in wait on my bed and rules in my thoughts and feelings as soon as I open my eyes. I enter the new day troubled and afraid. There are challenges that I must face with courage, yet bravery is not allowed in my fears. Please Lord, speak to my troubled heart and make it calm. You have not given me a spirit of fear, but a Spirit of Power and Love. . .and a Sound Mind.
“Peace I leave with you. My own Peace I now hand over to you and make it yours. Not as the world gives do I give to you. It is yours without conditions. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. . .stop allowing yourself to be agitated and disturbed and do not permit yourself to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.
I have told you these things so that in Me you may have Perfect Peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulations and trials and distress and frustrations; but be of good cheer and take courage. Be confident, certain, undaunted, for I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to truly harm you. I have conquered it for you. John 14;27; 16:33
